One of the greatest things about living in New York City is the ability to escape. Whether you want to wander aimlessly around Midtown, disapear into Central Park or have a mini-gettaway on the Hudson–it’s easy to turn a free day into something special.

In an effort to play tourist in New York City more often (a summer resolution of mine), my roommate Christine and I ventured out to the Brooklyn Flea Market this past Saturday.

Let me tell you, this place is my version of Heaven. I spent the entire day wishing I had a car big enough to bring things home in–or a bank account big enough to pay for all the awesome vintage finds.

I ended the day with a few great pieces of jewelry, a delicious raspberry popsicle and a sunburn. All in all, a success.

Oh my goodness I’m in love with the blue Ball jars! I can’t seem to find any where I am :( Were they expensive?

Not at all! I got a few huge ones for $12 each! I almost jumped out of my skin when I found the blue ones haha
